Miss Betty Blythe, the film star, while motoring in Palestine, where she is making films, was captured by Bedouins after a severe fight. Other occupants of the motor-car were wounded. Troops failed to rescue her. It is pointed out that Miss Blytho, after the filming of "The Queen of Sheba," received threatening letters alleging that she had offended the susceptibilities of the desert tribe, which defied Sheba. The letter concluded: "Allah will be revenged."
