The totalisator investments for the day amounted and for the meeting to £53,979. Results:— Raglan Hurdle Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.—lrish Jig 1, Te Tahi 2, Snake 3. Won by a neck. Time, 3.17. Huntly Handicap, of 150 sovs; seven furlongs.—Quinsilia 1, Rahipoto 2, Ring Potoa 3. Won by half a length. Time, 1.30. Eureka Handicap, of 150 sovs; six furlongs. Luxurious and Aberfeldy (dead heat) 1, Lo Choucas 3. Time, 1.16 1-5. Ngaruawahia Handicap, of 350 sovs; one mile.—Arch Amie 1, Gala Day 2, Ruapapa 3. Won by a neck. Time, 1.40. Te Roro Hack Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—Sans Gene 1, Peter Rosa 2, Star of the East 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 2.11 2-5. High-weight Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile.—Cureaform 1, Black Cruiser 2, Drawbridge 3. Won by a neck. Time, 1.44 2-5. Te Rapa Handicap, of 2-50 sovs: six furlongs.—Archeen 1, Golden Bubble 2, Broadwood 3. Won by a length. Time, 1.15. Consolation Handicap, of 150 soys; seven furlongs.—King Pot 1, King Smock 2, General Pryde 3. Won by a neck. Time, 1.28 2-5. AUSTRALIAN PURCHASE. LONDON, April 29. Mr P. A. Connolly, of Western Australia, purchased at the Newmarket sales for 2100 guineas, the two-year-old colt Karagan, by Stedfast—Karelian. THE HAWK. HASTINGS, April 30. The owner, Mr Cameron, states that The Hawk, if nothing unforeseen occurs is a sure starter in the Ormond Memorial Stakes at the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's races.
