RAKAIA.

Despite the very inclement weather of Tuesday evening there was a good attendance at the second night of the Rakaia. Miniature Rifle Club's shooting, and 63 targets were disposed of. The best scores were: G. Cromie and A. Shannon 67, A. C. Mead 66, H. Cromie, G. King, and H. Hewson 65, W. E. Judkins 64, W. Rowe and A. S. Bell 63, W. Lee, S. Ford, and W. Lara-man 62. The club now has a membership of 64, although established loss than five weeks ago.

Rakaia has of late been suffering from very stormy weather. Sunday was very wet,' and Monday was threatening, but Tuesday saw a heavy downpour, Which continued throughout the night. A total of 1.25 inches of rain fell. The rain was a cold one, and some warmer days would now be welcome to help on the growth of feed for the winter.
