SHORTACE OF WHEAT.

NEW YORK, July 22
Reports to the State Department indicate that Germany is short of 600,000 bushels of wheat required before the next harvest. The.crop prospects are reported to be good in West Germany, but in other sections the crops were hurt by dry weather, and also? by .frost. .. •,
The Government is said to be requisitioning one of every two' head of cattle.
