LONDON, July 22

Official.—A squadron of' between 15 and 21 aeroplanes approached l(lelixhLowo and Harwich at 8 o'clock this morning, and dropped bombs.

Heavy . anti-aircraft lire caused the squadron's formation to split, part returning overseas and part proceeding southward to the Essex coast. These were constantly engaged by gunfire, and proceeded homewards without dropping more bombs.

Our aeroplanes pursued the raiders out to sea, and heavily engaged them, but visibility was low and observation was difficult.

Eight people were killed, and 25 injured at Felixstowe and Harwich.
