In tlio House of Commons Mr Byrne, requesting that Ireland should be exempted in the event of conscription,, declared, that it would bo resisted by'drilled-armed'forces. . ■ ,
Mr Asquith deprecated the. threat, and said that he could not r-nlaig? on his previous statements.
