Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, December 11. The .final returns for the Christchurch South electorate, which are now to •hand, show the .polling to have been as .-follows : —H. G. Ell, 3,677; G. R. Whiting;'3,osl; E. Howard, 536; valid votes polled, 7,264; informal, 198; total ballot papers used, 7,462. Up to date Mr Ell has a majority of 90, and, as there are only 24 absent voters' papers to come in; his'elect-ion on the fir-it> ballot is assured. P4MERSTON N., December 9.
