The official re-count of votes cast in connection with the Ashburton election on Thursday last discloses the following results: — William Nosworthy ... 2,859 John Kennedy 1,529 William S. Maslin .'1,152 John McLaehlan 413 Tho total number of valid votes polled was 5,953, and the number .required to give an absolute majority to Mr Nosworthy would be 2,977/ The number of informal votes was 64.
