SECOND BALLOT IN CHALMERS.
DUNEDIN, December 10. The official count of the votes recorded in Chalmers election gives the following figures:-— Clark ... -...„ ....... 2,842 Johnson ... ... ... 1,474 Dickson ... 1,375 ; McCarthy 576 Thirteen absent votes have' still to come. On election night 80 votes at one booth were wrongly credited to Mr McCarthy, which'should have been counted for Mr Johnson. The second ballot, therefore, will be between M.f Clark and' Mr Johnson.
