THE BEEF TRUST'S DESIGNS.

It is announced m New York that Mr Samuel Mcßoberts, treasurer of the Armours' corporation, will shortly become vice-president of the National City Bank, of which Mr Ogden Armour is already a director. This' is' interpreted as the beginning of a movement on-the part of the Beef Trust to obtain control of the Argentine cattle-raising and beef-producing industries, as the bank is one of those associated m the plan for the establishment of a PanAmerican Bank, with branches throughout Central and South America.
