WATERSIDE WORKERS.

WANGANUI, February 20. A meeting of the Wanganm Waterside Workers Union was held last night to discuss a proposal for the federation of the New Zealand waterside workers with those of Australia. A resolution was passed heartily endorsing all actions taken up to the present and giving hearty support to the ■proposed federation ; also thanking Mr McLaren, the' New Zealand workers' representative who visited Australia m connection with the matter, for his efforts towards attaining that end. _ lhe union also decided to communicate with other local unions with a view to opening a. Trades and Labour Council for Wanganui.
