ARBITRATION COURT.

' At the sitting of the' Arbitration Court at Cliristclmrch on Thursday, Messrs Friedlander Bros, were charged by the Inspector of Awards with having committed a breach of the Aslibuiton drivers' agreement. Mr Wilding appeared for the respondents, and set up the defence-that they were not cited f as parties to the agreement. | , The Clerk of the Court produced evidence that the citation was posted. E. Keely', a driver employed by the respondents,' stated that b^. nacl been in. receipt -of less than the minimum wage fixed by the agreement. Mas Friedlander, a member of the I respondent firm, stated that the man's work comprised only a little carting. The firm never received any citation to attend the Conciliation Board. He had no intention at all to pay less than the proper minimum. His Honour adjourned the case until August 28 to afford the Inspector time to prove that the respondents had been cited
