Special Report I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Maori Affairs Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : " That this Committee records its high sense of the distinguished service rendered to the Maori race by the late Honourable James O'Brien and of its appreciation of the work done by the late honourable gentleman as Chairman of the Committee ; and, further, the Committee expresses its sincere and profound sympathy with his widow in her great loss." The Committee also resolved that this resolution be recorded in the minutes and reported to the House. J. B. F. Cotterill, Chairman. 27th November, 1947.
