Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee held its final meeting to-day (6th November). During the session the Committee held twenty-two meetings, the average attendance at each meeting being nine. Including eighteen petitions brought forward from 1928, the Committee had before it ninety-two petitions. Of these sixty-six were reported on ; the remaining twenty-six were unavoidably held over (see schedule). The Native Trustee Amendment Bill and the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Bill were duly considered and reported on.
