EEPOETB. Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 25th October, 1921.
Electricians Registration Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has considered same, and, it being deemed an Appropriation Bill, the Committee recommends that it be not allowed to proceed. The Committee further recommends the Government to introduce legislation in the direction contained in the Bill. 2nd November, 1921.
No. 3.—Petition of A. J. Garrett and 193 Others. Praying that section 11 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1920, be repealed, and that special provision be made extending the hours of closing. I am directed to report that the Labour Bills Committee has carefully considered the prayer of the petitioners, and, in view of the powers conferred upon Stipendiary Magistrates by section 2 (1) of the Shops and Offices Act of last session, 1921, with regard to cases of hardship, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 2nd November, 1921.
No. 9.—Petition of C. Silver and 164 Others. Praying that section 11 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1920, be repealed, and that special provision be made extending the hours of closing. Daylight Baking Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered same, and recommends that it be not allowed to proceed. 12th December, 1921.
Factories Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments shown on copy attached. 12th December, 1921.
No. 269. —Petition of G. Messenger and 81 Others. Praying to be excluded from the provisions of the Hotel and Restaurant and Private-hotel and Boardinghouse Employees Six Days a Week Bill, 1921. I am directed to report that, as the subject-matter of this petition has already been dealt with in the Hotel and Restaurant and Private-hotel and Boardinghouse Employees Six Days a Week Bill, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 12th December, 1921.
Public Holidays Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it h"s carefully considered same, and ecommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy of Bill attached. 19th December, 1921.

Unemployed Workers Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it has considered same, and is of the opinion that the Bill should be redrafted regarding the schedule, and considered again next session. 31st January, 1922.
Painters and Decorators' Health Protection Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it has considered same, and recommends that the Bill should be brought up again next session. 31st January, 1922.
Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it has considered same, and recommends that the Bill be given consideration when the proposed consolidated measure is proceeded with. 31st January, 1922.
Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill (No. 2). The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour lo report that it has carefully considered same, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy attached. 6th February, 1922
Final Report. The Labour Bills Committee, consisting of fourteen members, has during the session held twenty-one meetings, the average attendance being ten members at each meeting ; eleven Bills were referred to the Committee, all of which have been reported to the House ; also nine petitions were referred to the Committee, seven of which have been reported to the House, and two held over until next session. Bth February, 1922.
Special Report. The- Labour Bills Committee desires to place on record its high appreciation of the capable and impartial service rendered to the Committee by the Chairman (Sir J. P. Luke) during the session, and extends a vote of thanks accordingly. Bth February, 1922.
Special Report. The Labour Bills Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the efficient service rendered by the Clerk (Mr. J. Williams), who has discharged his duties with diligence and tact. Bth February, 1922.
