Agricultural Labourers' Accommodation Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to whom was referred the Agricultural Labourers' Accommodation Bill, has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, subject to the amendments shown on the attached copy. 6th September, 1907.

Factories Act Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to whom was referred the Factories Act Amendment Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the copy attached hereto. 11th September, 1907.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to whom was referred the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recomments that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the attached copy. 7th November, 1907.

Shops and Offices Act Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to whom was referred the Shops and Offices Act Amendment Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the attached copy. 13th November, 1907.

Public and Bank Holidays Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to whom was referred the Public and Bank Holidays Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that,_ as the Bill proposes extensive changes in the law, it be referred to the Government for consideration. 13th November, 1907.

N o 715. —Petition of J. D. Webster and 76 Others. Petitioners pray that florists may be brought within the scope of the exemptions of "The Shops and Offices Act, 1904:." I have to report that, as the Committee has dealt with this subject in the Shops and Offices Act Amendment Bill, reported to-day, it has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

No. 846.—Petition of Wing Lee and 18 Others. Prtitioneus pray that their objections to the Factories Act Amendment Bill being- passed may be considered. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

Nos. 36 and 274. Petitions of A. E. Campbell and 241 Others, and James Patterson and 307 Others. Petitioners pray for preference for unionists. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

No. 28.—Petition of H. Fishwick and 32 Others. Petitioners pray that, the hours for closing hairdressing saloons remain as they are at present. I am directed to report that, as the Committee is of opinion that provision for this already exists, it has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

No. 657. —Petition of J. W. Miles and 35 Others. Petitioners pray for the re-enactment of the section in " The Factories Act, 1894," relative to the factory half-holiday. 1 am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that, as the subject of the prayer of this petition has been already dealt with, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

Nos. 11, 472, and 537.—Petitions of J. Graham and Co. and 31 Others, R. Gray and 66 Others, and A. F. Anderson and 207 Others. Petitioners pray for the repeal of the Industrial Conciliation Act. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 13th November, 1907.

Nos. 147, 31, 716, 98, and 146.—Petitions of Wiltjam, Macintosh and 425 Others, Herbert Hatnes and Co. and 201 Others, Thomas Bath and 90 Others, Annie Strang and 1,168 Others, and T Borland and 240 Others. Petitioners pray that the half-holiday remains as at present. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on these petitions. 13th November, 1907.
