The Joint Library Committee have the honor to report the following resolutions to the House of Representatives: — 1. That in the opinion of this Committee it is desirable that a permanent Librarian should be appointed, and that the Chairman of the Joint Committee should be requested to address the Grovernrnent pointing out the desirability of such an Office for the proper custody of a collection of books increasing in value and importance from year to year. 2. That in the opinion of this Committee the services of the present Library attendant (Ewen McColl), are inadequately remunerated by his salary of £100, and that the salary ought to be increased to the sum of £120.
