ITALY’S COAL PROBLEM
EXPERTS SENT FROM WALES (Received Sept. 25. 1 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 24 “Amgot” (Allied Military Government of Occupied Territories) has appointed two prominent Welsh coal experts, Messrs J. C. Gridley and P. R. Evans, to go to Italy to deal with Italy’s coal supplies. Much importance is attached to the appointments in view of the possibility of Italian industries eventually being harnessed to the Allied war effort.
