WELCOME HOME

A number of Nurses and members of Red Cross and Patriotic Associations gathered at the home of Mrs D. Bachetts, Te Awamutu, recently to tender a welcome home to Sister E. Nicholl, formerly Matron of Matariki Hospital, Te Awamutu, who has returned from overseas after three years service. Sister Nicholl who has served in England, Greece and the Middle East, gave a very interesting talk on her travels and hospital experiences on board ship. Miss Mandeno a sister of the last war presented the guest with a beautiful posy in red, white and blue hyacinths. Gifts were presented from those present. Items by Mrs D. Ramsay and Mrs R. C. Judd were very much enjoyed.
