T'-w? August meeting of the League of Mothers was well attended, several visitors being welcomed. Miss McClay, of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, was the speaker for the afternoon, her subject being "There Came a Woman.” The speaker traced the origin of the W.C.T.U. back to its first meeting 70 years ago, when American banded themselves together under the leadership of Miss Francis E. Willard. Enjoyable solos were rendered by Mrs McGregor, Mrs Grant was the accompanist.
