PATRIOTIC SOCIAL A pleasant evening was spent on Wednesday, when a social to assist funds for patriotic purposes was held in the Tauhei Hall. A programme of musical items preceded dancing. Mr I. B. Harris was M.C. Members of the Morrinsville Amazons were in at- | tendance and gave exhibitions of marching and drilling. The following contributed items:—Songs, Master A. Downs and Miss U. Green; tap dancing, Misses Evetts and Frampton; action Maori songs, Master i Keatinge. « I Mr Taverner, chairman of the patriotic committee, thanked those present, especially Mr K. Rowlings, for organising the social, and remarking the funds would benefit by over £5. Supper was served by the ladies.
