WORK ON TUNNEL SHELTERS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday The secretary of the Building Trades Federation, Mr McAra, speaking in regard to the action to be taken to give protection to the people of Wellington, expresses pleasure that the work on tunnel shelters is to be undertaken but strongly criticises the Mayor, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, for making known only on Saturday that men are wanted on Monday for large-scale operations requiring labour to be provided from outside as well as inside Wellington.
