WAR LOAN APPEAL
CITY CONTRIBUTES £785,170 (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday “Auckland’s contribution to the national war loan now stands at £785,170, the amount subscribed yesterday being £96,140, compared with £95,130 in Wellington,” said the Mayor, Mr J. A. C. Allum, today, when appealing to everyone with money to invest to help tne country in the emergency.
