BRIDGE EVENING

FOR CAMBRIDGE QUEEN In connection with the South Auckland Queen Carnival to raise funds for London refugees and the rehabilitation of soldiers, the Cambridge Patriotic Committee have arranged an intensive programme in support of the Cambridge Queen. Mrs Mervyn Wells. The first function on Friday evening was marked by success when the Leamington-Monovale sub-commit-tee arranged a bridge party at the home of Mrs J. W. Garland. On her arrival, the queen. Mrs Mervyn Wells, who was wearing a gown- of black and white plaid taffeta, was presented with a beautiful floral bouquet. Members of the Leamington-Mona-vale sub-committee are Mesdames J. W. Garland, H. P. Nelson, D. M. Bourke, R. S. Hanna, Roy Fisher, Willoughby Horne, Nigel Wrigntson, George Cleland.
