Royal Chief covered six furlongs in 1.17, pulling up satisfactorily. Pearl of Asia and Beau Vite ran five furlongs in 1.4 J. Beau Hepaire and Moorsotis covered the same distance in 1.5. Sydney horses doing well on the tracks are Gold Rod, who looks a picture, St. Constant, Penthides, Tel Asur, liuzalong. Reading and Feminist. Melbourne reports state that Ajax is in wonderful heart and training on excellently.
