Defendant's counsel requested that the proper names and addresses of witnesses for the prosecution should be disclosed. The magistrate, however, regretted he was unable to help him. The next witness, a middle-aged man, whose name was undisclosed, said he had picked out from photographs a man and woman who he saw enter a house in Holland Road. Later ihe saw them with Whomack and flni ally followed them to Victoria Station, | where they boarded a boat train. Their luggage was labelled Paris. Inspector Thompson produced four blue-prints—three dated 1927 and one 4 928—found in the possession of Glading when he was arrested, and said they showed details of a pressure bar apparatus. \ Detective Jones said in evidence that I he found at Glading’s address cameras and part of an anti-tank mine pistol rolled up in a piece of paper containing a short description in Williams’ handwriting, “ This pistol is now in what is known as an armed position.” He also found spools of a developed film containing a whole book about ex~ 1 plosives. He also found five photoi plates on which were particulars of the | fuse of an aircraft bomb. I Detective Jones handed in as an ex- ! hibit a bundle of documents relating ;to aircraft, and also a sheet dealing i with a surface-riding torpedo, j Inspector Bridges gave evidence of a number of books bearing Munday’s I name found at Williams’ address. I Inspector Peel gave evidence that he ! was present at a search of Whomack’s j house. He found an attache case with | a false bottom. The prosecution requested that the remaining evidence, mainly the testimony of experts, be heard in camera. The magistrate agreed. The prosecution disclosed that the real name of Stevens was Brandes.
