Copyright BRISBANE, Jan. 3 Blistering heat, with temperatures of 110 and 112 degrees during the last four or five days caused one death and the collapse of a number of old persons in Central Queensland. The hospital authorities at Blackhall had to set electric fans blowing over blocks of ice to keep the patients cool.
