DOMINION IN BRITAIN. PRODUCE WELL ADVERTISED. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. “ The term ‘colonial’ Is much less used in England, and New Zealand, along with Australia, Canada, and South Africa, and the other parts of the overseas Dominions, is recognised as a vital unit in the British Commonwealth of Nations,” said Canon Haultain, of Nelson, who returned from England by the Arawa. ” New Zealand stands very high in the estimation of English people, and there is a genuine appreciation of New Zealanders and all that they represent.” “ People are at last beginning to realise that New Zealand is not part of Australia, although they still ask how often the ferry runs there,” he added. Canon Haultain added that New Zealand produce was well advertised in England, and it was an interesting thing to find New Zealanders resident there demanding nothing but New Zealand meat or dairy produce or fruit. From what he knew of apple-growing in Nelson, some of the apples sold in shops and labelled " New Zealand grown” were not the genuine article. Referring to the conditions of Church life in England, Canon Haultain said it was much like anywhere else. When real live spiritual leadership was revealed the Church was very much alive.
