The Daily Herald’s Athens correspondent says strikes against the restoration of the monarchy broke out in several towns in Greece. - : Fifteen thousand people struck at Cavalla, paralysing activity. One hundred deputies and 1000 Athens lawyers and university professors have declared in favour of a republic. Ex-King George has prepared a set of conditions for his return. He demands that the plebiscite be free and unhampered, and that he himself decide whether the majority Is sufficient to warrant his return.
