GARDEN PARTY.

AT TE AROHA. The garden party held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Mark Deed, Herriesviile, in aid of the Te Aroha Methodist Church fund was a great success. National and novelty dances were given by'a troup -of pupils from the Te Aroha dancing class, and a Minuet in costume by Margaret McLeod and Kathleen -Baker was -highly appreciated. In Hie 'Sean Trubhais, Sailor's Hornpipe, Irish Jig, and Highland Fling the dancers were Margaret Ma-ckay, Irene Martin and Margaret McLeod. Winners oT the afternoon’s -competitions were:—-Crazy -croquet, Mrs Waddell; target croquet, Mrs Ziegler; clock golf, Mrs Allen; -men’s crazy croquet, Mr M. Edgar; quoits, Mr R. Coulter.
