JUBILEE BALL.

MORRINSVILLE FUNCTION. The Regent Theatre at Morrinsville was crowded on Thursday evening for the Jubilee Ball and the gathering was a great success, with the general organisation leaving nothing to be desired.

Music was provided by the Ambassadors’ Dance Band from Hamilton and extras were -given by Mrs .D. T. Davies, Miss Z. Howeth and Mr Reed. The -duties -of master of ceremonies were efficiently carried out by Mr G. Davis.

A feature of the evening was an “Old Settlers’ Dance/’ in which eight young Morrinsville residents in 1874 costume took part. It gained enthusiastic applause. The couples taking part were Miss M. Chapman and Mr T. Large, Miss B. Gibb and Mr G. Marshall, Miss C. Wright and Mr W. Grump, Mrs S. Marshall and Mr W. Skinner.
