ANNUAL BULL BALE. GOOD PRICES REALISED. Tlio annual hull sale on behalf of the Matamata Jersey Club xvas held on Monday at the Matamata salcyards, and one of tlie most successful fixtures yet held has lo he recorded. For animals or good breeding and condition, with butter-fat hacking, there was a ready market, an'd as the great majority or the hulls came rorward In splendid order, a really good average was maintained throughout.
Previous to the sale the usual show was held, the awards being made by Mr A. 0. Lovelock, or .Matangl. Mr F. C. Richmond secured first in Hie aged section, with a fine stamp or Individual hr “ lleathcoto Richmond.’’ This same animal also secured the grand championship. In the two-year-old class first prize was secured by Mr R. K. Garland, with “ Tyntesfield Merry Man,” a son or Conlston Conqueror, C. 8.8. and Tyntesfield Eir. A particularly strong yearling class paraded, numbering in the vicinity or 25, and honours went to a fine Individual In “ Rrookdell Sapphire.” the property or Messrs Colson Bros, waihou. This promising young sire was a son or Penearrow Oxford and Passions DalTodl!.
