FARMER AS DIVINER
REMARKABLE GIFTS CLAIMED. ■MEN, WATER AND METAL. Remarkable gifts of divination are claimed by Mr E. Dixon, a poultry farmer, of Woodside Farm, Nottinghamshire, who gave a display of his powers to a London reporter. In the heat wave Mr Dixon’s farm was short of water, and he called In Mr Clark, a Leicestershire water diviner, who promptly found an ample supply. After Mr 'Clarke had gone Mr Dixon and his brother decided to experiment. Using a hazel twig about 18 inches long Mr Dixon found, he related, that it turned over in his hand when held Over water-bearing land. “My surprise was not. to be compared with what I felt on finding that I could locate metals as well as water," said Mr Dixon.
The reporter handed a fountain pen io Mr Dixon and hid in a hedge more than two miles away. Mr Dixon, using a motor-war, discovered him in less than a quarter of an hour.
