TRI3E'S ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION. RIGHT OF TREATMENT. i . ROTORUA, Monday. In effect granting the right of treatment at the Rotorua Hospital to all •members of the Arawa tribe in return for a* minimum payment of £3OO per annum by the Arawa Trust Board, an agreement has been 'contracted between the Waikato Hospital Board and the Trust Board. The agreement ap- : plies to those members of the tribe outside Ngati Whakaue hapu, for whom payment is guaranteed by the Government.

Tlie agreement, which is to remain In force for three years, stipulates that the Arawa Trust Board shall make an anuual contribution of £2OO to the Waikato Hospital Board and in addition collect and pay to the hoard all fees paid by members ,of the tribe. If in' any year the amount so collected fails beiow £3oo'when talusn in conjunction with 'the £2OO already mentioned, the trust board is to make good the difference to the hospital board. In other words, in return for treatment of members of the tribe at the Hospital, the Waikato Hospital Board is to be guaranteed a minimum payment of £3OO per annum, for which the trust board will be • responsible. If in any year the fees collected from the natives by the trust hoard exceed £IOO, the trust board will be entitle' to charge and receive 10 per cent, on all amounts collected above that amount to cover the cost of collection.
