THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH.

Yesterday morning the Governor General, Lord Bledlsloe, and Latf Bledisloe visited the relief depots art the Women’s Auxiliary and also tlj training centre for unemployed girls.
Lord Bledisloe said that nowhei* in New Zealand was such a wonderfil spirit shown in dealing with the relief of distress. In the afternoon Their Excellencies attended a reunion of the Can terbury Pilgrims, Lord Bledisloe pacing a tribu l e to the vision of tb pioneers and its effect on their descendants.
Later Their Excellencies went b Lancaster Park to see the Ranfurl: Shield match between Canterbury an< King Country. In the evening Lord Bledislot addressed members of the Too t movement and conducted the “Ceremony of Light.” To-day Their Excellencies attended a jubilee service at St. Barnabas Church, Fendalton, and Lord Bledisloe read the lessons. In the eveninj they attended the service at the Cathedral, where Lord Bledisloe also read the lessons.
