CATHOLIC CARNIVAL.

CONCERT AT HAMILTON EAST. AUCKLAND PARTY’S PROGRAMME. One of the most successful concerts given in Hamilton was presented in Pearson’s Hall last night by a party of Auckland performers. The entertainment was arranged in support of the candidature of Miss Ida Kelly, the Sports Queen, in the Catholic Queen Carnival. Tiie hall was well filled, and the excellent programme was greatly enjoyed. Items were contributed as follows: —Pianoforte selection, Mrs. p. it. Franchi, L.T.C.L.; contralto so’os, Miss Beryl Smith; baritone solos, Mr. Robert Simmers; mezzosoprano solos, Miss It.da MacCullay; humour, Mr. Dan Flood; violin solo-.. Miss Ida Lockwood; baritone solos, Mr. L. Barnes; vocal duet, Miss It. MacCullay and Mr. H. Simmers. During the evening there was community singing, led by Mr. L. Barnes. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Franchi.
