THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. VALUES WELL MAINTAINED.- ______ i (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Though business has not been quite as brisk this week late values have been well sustained. At this morning's call Union Banks were quoted ex dlv., with buyers at £9 2s 6d, and no sellers. New Zealand Insurances had another sale at the peak price of £2 12s 6d. Devonport Steams were on offer at £l, with a buyer at 17s Gd. Waihls were asked for at £1 3s sd. The lowest sellers were firm at £i 3s lOd. Government stocks were in demand, but offerings were scarce.

SALES RECORDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKL AN D, Wednesday. The following sales were recorded on the Stock Exchange to-day:— Consolidated Gold, J2s Gd. Farmers' Auctioneering “B" pref., 15s. Waihi, 23s 9d. Blackwater, 27s 3d. Wilson's Cement, 33s fid. New Zealand Insurance, 52s Gd.
