DANCE AND CARD EVENING

AT MATANGI. A most enjoyable dance and card evening organised by St. David’s Guild was held in the Matangi Hall on Saturday evening. The hall was nicely decorated with greenery and coloured streamers. Excellent music was supplied by Mrs Flyger’s orchestra, extras being played by Mr R. Cranston. Mr W. Tomlinson acted as M.S. A delicious supper was served by members of the 'committee. A flag 500 tournament was played in the supper room, the winning trio being Mrs R. Wright, Mrs A. Jamieson, junr., and Mr 'R. Wright. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs R. Taylor, Miss W. Randle, and Mr Ferris. Among those present were:—Mesdames Judd, J. Ranstead, W. Martini, A. Jamieson, Junr., R. Taylor, J. Hinton, J.
