Mr Reginald Grenville Eves, the famous portrait painter, has been elected an Associate of the Royal Academy. Mr Reginald Eves was born In 1876, and after winning various art scholarships, entered the Slade School of Art under Professor Legros. He has exhibited portraits at the Royal Academy and the Paris Salon, winning the former’s silver medal in 1924, and the gold medal in 1926. His portraits in-, clue those -of prominent statesmen, social figures, and beauties of the day. He is represented in the Tate Gallery by his portrait of the late T’homas Hardy. '
