SOUTH AUCKLAND MEETING. CHAMPIONSHIP TO WAKEFIELD. WAIHI, Saturday. The 27th annual prize-firing meeting under the auspices of the South Auckland Rifle Association was held to-day. R. F. Wakefield, of the Akarana Club, won the championship, with a cash prize and the Hubbard Memorial Cup. His aggregate score was 184. The runner-up was Oliver, of Tauranga, with 180. Results are:— Auckland Match (10 shots at 300vds). —Wakefield (Akarana),’ 50; G. Kelly (City), 47; Oliver (Tauranga), Feather (Waihi), 46. Goldfields Match (10 shots at 500 yds).—Draffin (Akarana), 49; Clark (City), Powell (Akarana), Degenkobie (City), Kelly (City), J. G. Cornes (Waihi), 47. Bky of Plenty Match (10 shots at 600yds).—Munro (Waihi), Feather (Waihi), 47; Powell (Akarana), Kiddie (Tauranga), 46. Waikato Match (10 shots at 700 yds).—King (Morrinsville), 47; J. G. Cornes (Waihi), Griffiths (Morrinsville), 45; Wakefield (Akarana), Oliver (Tauranga), 44. Grand Aggregate.—Wakefield, 184; Oliver, 180; King, 178.
