Mr Stewart Beid, M.P., will visit the East Coast district next week.
Mr. R. Cobbe, of The Chateau, Is at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr P. P. White has returned to Hamilton after a lengthy visit to Australia.
Messrs. D. M. Dunningham. R. Hannah, .T. R. Kingston, H. R. MacKenzie (Auckland), F. A. Hetley (Napier), and W. Carthy (New Plymouth), are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Sir Apirana Ngata, Minister of Native Affairs, is touring the East Coast in connection with the Afaori farm settlement scheme. He has inspected many farms and discussed various problems with settlers.
Mr. 11. E. Holland, Leader of the Labour Party, has a number of engagements to fulfil before leaving Auckland. To-morrow lie will meet members of the New Lynn Unemployed Association in conference.
At the annual meeting of the Hamilton Fire Board yesterday Superintendent A. Craig was granted leave of absence to represent, the Hamilton brigade at the annual conference of Hie United Fire Brigades Association, which commences in Wellington on Monday.
