BOY DROWNED.

FATALITY AT RAGLAN. (Special to Times.) RAGLAN, Saturday. Athol Pooley, aged seven years, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Pooley, of Wainui, Raglan, was drowned whilst bathing at an inlet in the -harbour yesterday afternoon. An inquest is being held to-day. Deceased and several other children were bathing after leaving school, near where the Wainui Creek flows in the harbour. The water is shallow at the spot, but with a few' deep holes. Pooley got out of his depth in one of these, and seeing he was in difficulties, his companions ran for assistance.

A native who was working in the vicinity recovered the body, and artificial respiration methods were applied, but without success.
