PRODUCE IN STORES

EASY OUTLET WANTED. (Special Reporter.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The need for control boards keeping stores in the Dominion as clear of produce as possible to avoid farmers being dragged into possible industrial disturbances, was stressed in a remit at the Auckland Provincial Conference of Ihe New Zealand Farmers’ Union to-day. Mr W. Boyd (Matangi) said the reason why the Danes had protected their name and held their trade was because they kept a smooth supply of produce on the home market spread throughout the year. One speaker urged that farmers should load produce on the ships themselves in the event of industrial strikes. The remit was carried.
