INTEREST AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHECKING DANGEROUS ELEMENT (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCIIURH, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers Association last night was tlie largest ever held. Remarkable interest was evinced. To place a check upon tiic activities of what was described as the “dangerous element" in tiic association, a new* rule was adopted by 199 voles to 105, providing that every person on election to the executive, must sign a declaration affirming loyalty to King and Empire. The outgoing executive was reelected, with one exception. The meeting passed a resolution expressing dissatisfaction with the action of the Returned Soldiers’ Association headquarters regarding pensions.
