ANGLICAN CHURCH
ST. MATTHEW’S, MORRINSVILLE. Canon Gillespie presided at the annual meeting of the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Morrinsville, at which there was a fair attendance. Tiie report stated that considerable additions to the -Parish Hall had been made. The Bishop of Polynesia had offered a large tropical sea-shell for use as a font. Special thanks were due to Miss Hanan and others responsible for the church llower shows, Hie profits from which amounted to some £•10. There were 53 children on the Sunday School roll. The I.allies' ami Amusement Committee, as usual, had been a great, help with the Ilnaiiccs of tiic church. The vicar expressed appreciation of Ihe assistance lie had received from Mr T. E. Goble, the vicar’s warden, ami nominated him again. Mr G. S. Wood was elected people's warden ami secretary. The following veslrymen were elected: Messrs G. Garrick, F. it. Marx, A. J. Skinner, E. Greensmith, C. M. Cummer, F. Dickenson. Mr 11. English, of Hamilton, was appointed synodsinan.
