CHEAPER HAIR-CUTTING.

HAMILTON BARBERS’ ACTION. . OPERATING FROM MONDAY. A decision to reduce the price of hair-cutting from is Gd lo Is 3d was made at a meeting of Hamilton hairdressers and tobacconists this week. The decision will take effect on Monday, but will not affect women’s hair culling, which will remain at Is Gd.

It was pointed out this morning that the action taken will result in a loss to most hairdressers in Hamilton, as employees have been paid considerably over the award rates. No reduction could be made in the price of shaving, which constitutes only a small percentage of the business. The reduction amounts to 1G 2-3 per cent.
