LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.

TE KAUWHATA SECTIONS. SOON READY FOR SELECTION. The area of land which the Agricultural Department has broken in at Te Kauwhata should be ready for settlement soon, according to Dr. G. J. Realms, Director of Agriculture. The sections sown down in the autumn are, ire says, showing an excellent growth of grass, notwithstanding that they arc carrying quite a quantity of sheep. Dr. Realms thought it would be necessary to Increase the number of stock to cope with the growth. The total area broken in is 830 acres, in addition to clumps of standing tea-tree, which have been left to furnish fencing posts and firing for the settlers. The sections will largely comprise farms in good heart and condition, and, being handy as they are, they should be well sought after.
