ATTACK ON CONSTABLE.
FOUR MEN IN GAOL. THREE OTHERS FINED £5. (By' Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. On the evening of Labour Day a constable was attacked and injured by a number of young men. In consequence of a thorough round-up four men are now spending a month in gaol, and three have been fined £5. Of the three one spent eight days in gaol on remand. During the hearing of the cases today the Magistrate commented strongly on the fact that accused, several of whom were under 21 years of age, had obtained liquor at a hotel.
