MR A. FOWLER’S NOMINATION. r~“i SUPPORT BY FARMERS’ UNION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Farmers’ Union has decided to support the nomination of Mr A. E. Fowler as representative of the primary producers on the Unemployment Board. CANTERBURY NOMINEES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The nomination of Mr F. L. Hutchinson to represent the secondary industries on the Unemployment Board has been endorsed by the Canterbury Employers’ Association and Master Builders’ Association. The Timber-workers’ Union tonight nominated Messrs G. T. Thurston, Christchurch, and T. Bloodworth, Auckland, and tile Retail Shop Assistants’ Union nominated Messrs G. T. Thurston and W. Bromley, Wellington. These two were also nominated by the Canterbury General Labourers’ Union. Mr E. Baldwin, of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, who has been nominated as the workers’ representative, has withdrawn his nomination on the ground that the Minister’s powers under the Act are too great.
