DOLE AND PROHIBITION

(To the .Editor.) . Sir,—Permit me to reply to “J.P.,” re the unemployment dole and prohibition. He would • dole' out prohibitidn orders to men receiving the unemployment dole. What of those men who do not drink, and those who can take it or leave it alone? It is not done in Great Britain, why here? Perhaps your correspondent would like to run the business as apparently someone has told him what should be done. Regarding his letter, my voice, as a hard worker is, “Man, mind thyself.” I am not a drunkard and would not stop a toiler from pleasing himself whether on the dole or earning. I am, etc., EX-DOLEITE.
